I found that here on VideoHelp you can download Windows Live Movie Maker, but it's in a .7z format. How in the world do you open that? I'm not finding any answers online that seem trustworthy.

Besides using 7zip, Winrar should be able to open it too along with many other zipping programs.

I recommend adding Bandizip to your unzip utilities. It will open some files that 7zip won't, such as corrupted or partial files.

No malware and there's even a portable version for additional safety.

  5. And you might be careful opening that 7 zip file. Scan it first with a good antivirus program or just download https://www.videohelp.com/software/Windows-Movie-Maker from this site and be safe.

I'm confused. My opening post said-

"I found that here on VideoHelp you can download Windows Live Movie Maker".

That's where the 7z file was...the one I'm having trouble opening once it's downloaded. Here, on this website.

Thank you for the suggestions, everyone.

As for the person who suggested I don't know how to do an internet search, I'd like to point out that it'd already been said I did do such a search, but didn't like the results I came up with, and hoped for some help finding out what a safe solution would be.

So you'll download just anything from anywhere?

    Sounds a bit dangerous.
