  1. Hello,

Hope anyone can help me with my problem.

I made a subtitle file with Aegissub and save it as an .ass file, -> then I add it to my video file with MKVTOOLNix GUI -> then I Hardburn it with Hanbdrake. the subttile gets bugged.

I'm using the same settings that I'm using for over a dozen video's already, but all of a sudden this subtitle keeps getting bugged display.

The letter 'i' keeps bugging (But oddly not always) in the subtitle file.

Can anyone help me out how to fix this problem? Maybe another way to hardsub .ass files?

    Thanks allot in advance

  2. 1. Post the ASS file.
    2. Same error with not-yet-hardsubbed mkv in VLC 3.0 player?
    3. Try HandBrake nightly.
    4. If same error in HandBrake nightly but not VLC 3.0 report to HandBrake team: https://github.com/HandBrake/HandBrake/issues
    5. If same error in both VLC and HandBrake report to libass: https://github.com/libass/libass/issues
    6. Until it is fixed you can try different software, e.g. StaxRip with (xy-)vsfilter(mod).

I get the same error in soft subbed in vlc 3.0
Oddly enough when I render a previeuw in Handbrake it comes error free, only the first part of the video gets bugged, but if I skip that part when I render previeuws the rest comes out fine.
But anyway I tried to hardcode it with StaxRip and it worked thanks allot
