    Hi,

I'm looking for a program that can mux my ISO rips to an extension in the MPEG-PS container like .mpg so I can watch them on my PS4 media player. The ISO files contain .vob segments that form the movie which are already MPEG-PS. I use a program currently called MakeMKV which will take the ISO and mux it to .mkv but they are MPEG-2 which cannot be played with the .mkv container on the PS4, only MPEG-4 can. However the PS4 media player can play MPEG-TS and MPEG-PS containers that have MPEG-2 so that's what I'd like to do. If I have to mux to .mkv first that's fine, but I just don't want to do any splitting or video and audio files then putting them back. I'd like the program to just take the ISO or .mkv and mux it.

    Thanks,

Look into tsmuxer or avidemux in copy mode, it can at least read the audio and video from a mkv. Subtitles is a bit more complex.
if all else fails read the manual

I've used avidemux but for some reason when I tell it to mux the .mkv to the MPEG-PS container it takes about 30 minutes. Which is strange because if I mux it to anything else it only takes about 2 minutes. But tsmuxer doesn't have an option for PS, if it does I don't know where it is. I don't need subtitles so no worries there.

I figured out a decent way to accomplish what I need. Using VideoReDo TVSuite V5 I'm able to mux mounted ISO files into pretty much any container including MPEG-PS. It has a batch function, but it will not let you choose which video stream you want. So you have to do it manually for each file.

I don't believe this program will open any of the files I have. All of my are either iso, mkv, or mpg.

  7. For mounted ISO images use VOB2MPG.

Ah yes I forgot to mention yesterday that along with finding VideoReDo I also stumbled across VOB2MPG. Great simple program. But the resulting mpg files have wrong times being shown in the player when I try to watch them. The ones from VideoReDo do not have incorrect times. Something about VOB2MPG doesn't like my copies.
