cinema craft encoder 2.62

hi opened it up clicked on add at top then found file says fps not supported so went to virtual dub changed to 25fps saved as old avi went back to cinema and it said cannot find correct codec for mpeg43 so put all the codecs i could find 3.11 alpha mpeg4 codec smr patch and now when i open the saved old avi file it says icd ecompress get format[] failed :-2
so all i want to do is open a avi file which as mpeg 4 low motion codec and try it on cinema encoder and compere with tmpg not getting any replys on the newb section please could any 1 with cinema give me some basic instructions how to encode with cinema if i can get it to encode il figure the rest of the settings out myself.--any help much appreciated. chelly.

You could use frameserving from VirtualDub into CCE, as CCE doesn't handle files very well, and as far as I recall it can't even do resizing, it depends on the file to be in the correct settings from the start.

I recommand you either use FlaskMPEG or VirtualDub with CCE for better workability.
