    Greetings
    When playing a DVD with potplayer how can I start playback with DVD's root menu (to choose subtitle etc)?

    Open the file VIDEO_TS.IFO or
    Open the folder VIDEO_TS or
    Drop one of the above onto Potplayer.

    This start the DVD playing the way it's authored. If that is not to start playing the Root menu then right click -> DVD Control

    only trouble is I don't have any DVD control or Root Menu in any of the options.
    I'm in version 1.7.8557
    here's my right-click menu

    I don't have any DVD control or Root Menu
    They're only available when you play a DVD.

    but I do
    it is a dvd that when played on a DVD device it shows the menu
    moreover both KMPlayer & vlc start with the menu
    only potplayer ignore the menu and start playing the first item
