I am looking to buy a Quad HD (QHD) monitor. The graphics card I am currently using supports a maximum resolution of 2560x1600. Will the monitor operate at its native 2560x1440 resolution with this card?

Yes. Your graphics card will detect the max (and native) resolution is 2560x1440 and use that. That's what I'm using. In my opinion you want a 32" or larger monitor for 2560x1440.
