  1. I have tried Tmpgenc and it is saying unrecognized format or something.
What is the best way to do this?
I saw that someone said to you virtual dub, but It said stack overflow, I was reading it directly from SVCD CD...
    Any knowledgable help is appreciated.
    Thanks!

Get a MPEG-2 VFAPI plugin here.
    http://e3lt11.ocv.ne.jp/mpeg2/
    Or go the dvd2avi way.

  3. Thanks truman..
I am trying the DVD2avi way. It handles the video part fine. But when i go to Tmpgenc, the audio doesnt show... so I change to "all files" under types and hit load on my audio and tmpgenc crashes. I followed the guide, any suggestions?

    Thanks!

  5. It's MPG audio, so I guess .wav?? It will DVD2AVI the video fine, but not the audio.
I also tried TMPGenc and when I load the "AVSEQ01" it crashes, I put the plugin-s in the same folder as Tmpenc, is that right??

I dont understand because I've done this before and it worked fine...

    tks

I was blind. Of course it is MPEG audio because your source is SVCD. You do not need to convert the audio once again unless you want to change the properties. So just load the .d2v as video source, select "video only" and convert. After that select file > MPEGtools > multiplex. Add the new .mpg and the .mpa, make sure you selected "Type: MPEG-1 VCD" and multiplex.
If you want to reencode the audio you should first decompress the .mpa to .wav. You may use BeSweet to convert .mpa to .wav or .mpa to .mpa.
However, I can load a .mpa (or .mp2) into TMPG as audio source, so I suggest to play with the VFAPI plugin priorities.
