    Ok troops,

    Hopefully someone here can help.

I've been trying to convert a number of MKV files muxed with HEVC 2160p Main 10 video and TrueHD audio to M2TS and i just can't get it to work properly.

I know that MakeMKV removes the ac3core that makes a direct mux from MKV to M2TS with TsMuxer impossible so I have been trying using eac3to to with the thd + ac3 option to add this stream back in to the demuxed thd file however when remuxed with TsMuxer the audio is almost 15 seconds out of sync.

I've tried this with 4 different movies and the result is the same.

    Steps as follows:

    1. Demux MKV with MKVExtract - Selecting only track 1 (Video HEVC) and track 2 (TrueHD)
    2. Load Demuxed THD file into eac3to and run with thd+ac3 output format parameters (nothing else added)
    3. Remux with video and newly created thd + ac3 file to M2TS with TsMuxer
    4. Play then cry!

Once remuxed the audio is about 15 seconds behind the video and the delay gets worse as the film plays so an 'initail delay setting is useless'

Help! what am i doing wrong? These movies play fine in their original MKV format!

    Thanks in advance

    Chris

It does? Last time I checked it didn't. (Mkvmerge separates core and TrueHD extension into distinct tracks.)

15 seconds right from the start or after some time? Maybe you just selected the wrong fps in tsMuxer?

    Hi Sneaker,

Thanks for the super quick response.

When demuxed with MKExtract I can see a seperate AC3 track but when i try and mux the THD track with TSMuxer i get an error.

After some Googling the removal of the ac3core was pointed to.

I've tried setting different fps options but the original video is 23.976 andf I've tried unchecking the 'change fps' option AND changing to '24000/1001'

    Cheers

    C
