  1. The above mentioned will not play any of my selfburned VCD. They were burned on CDR from TEAC/Maxell/Arita. The apparatus won't play properly: the sound is O.K. but the image is schocking/standstill/jumping/dropping white. when vissible the image seemes O.K.
    Where am I going wrong?

You didn't mention which burning software you are using. If you are using Nero, try to update as the first versions of Nero - until 5.5.1.8+bugfix were faulty for this DVD Player.

See also if you have the latest firmware for this Player. For additional help try the Cyberhome help forum/website where you can find additional information

  3. I'm using Adptec Easy CD Creator 3.5, which is known for not accepting files that are not exactly conform the VCD standard. Perhaps is this also faulty?

I prefer not to comment on products I don't use. I would however suggest,

    - either waiting for someone to come along who can help you with EZ CD Creator

    - changing your burning software (if you do install some other burning software on your system, it would be advised to uninstall EZ CD Creator first as compatibility issues have been expressed many times)

    - using something like VCDImagerGUI to produce an image file (cue/bin files) and burn this in EZ CD Creator.

P.S. Have you tried to play your VCD on your PC CD-Drive? Is it still as awful as the DVD Player?
