@video.baba: great job, congrats. BOX4 v2.0.0.0 is really fast.

I just find one problem with BOX4, when MKV/MP4 File is out of Sync,
with another similar software I can fix it 'cause detect out-of-Sync condition or allows me manually advance o delay the Audio Track , and also change the video frame-rate (24/1001 fps, 25 fps, etc..)

Insted using BOX4 I think those options aren't avaliable, right?
So how can I fix an audio track Out-of-Sync with BOX4?

    Thanks.

  3. For example with this MKV file, I can not use BOX4,
because the output file (MP4) it just gets Out Of Sync (26ms) with BOX4 there's no way to fix Audio Delay

  4. Probably there's no solution to my Delay "problem"

  5. Could anyone help me in solving my doubts?

  6. I don't see any problem. Delays are kept properly from what I can tell. (With container information. Using silence at least when re-encoding would be "nicer" but not a bug.)

I've tried but the MP4 output file gets out of sync

  8. Maybe your file is broken. I don't think anyone can help you unless you upload the complete file (or at least enough to reproduce the problem). What I see from MediaInfo is that the audio is 10 seconds short but that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Also strange that mkvmerge v5.8.0 is the "writing application" but statistic tags where written by v20.0.0.

  9. As you can see in the MediInfo, the mkv file is muxed

    29.970 fps
    Delay 26 ms

Other softwares are able to detect and fix the Delay reltive to video,

Box4 v2 is not able to detect Delay, so is not able to fix it.

Again: I cannot reproduce this. Also, 26ms would be hardly noticable anyways. Whatever your problem is, it's probably not about those 26ms.

  11. Thanks for your reply.
The only problem is a New Output file (MP4) Out of Sync

MkvToMP4 let me change Delay and FPS

I'm wondering if this options are ables with BOX4
The Frame Rate is correct but I can't Apply Delay Relative to video (in this case the audio track is delayed by 26ms)
Thing that is possible with other softwares. I really like BOX4 because it is much faster than the others... but
so far I haven't been able to fix this "problem".
Maybe this option could be able in the next beta

  12. This usually happens (Dealy) with files (MKV) that contain different languages,
not with the original english audio, they almost never have Delay.

  13. Summing up, BOX4 V2 is not able today to solve the problem of the Delay with the archives of other countries (mkv with several languages)
I hope creators take note and can solve it in future versions.

    Again, great software.

No, this is not true. Stop spreading misinformation. If you want your problem fixed upload a sample file. If not I suggest you stop posting.

  15. Have you looked at MKVToolnix?

    Ok. Sorry
But happens with all Out of Sync files (MKV), there's no sense upload a sample file.

    Regards.

Yes, in fact, it's the software that I use to correct the Delay after that, with this new MKV,
    Boxs4 works properly fine.

    Thanks

  18. Strange issue I can't seem to figure out. Once I convert a movie to mkv and apply d.a.n. when playing the file in plex, rewind or skip backwards no longer works. Instead it skips forward when pressing skip back or rewind on the remote. I am playing the video using an nvidia shield and have tested by using the same video before running it through box4 and the rewind/skip back works properly. Has anyone else noticed this? Here are the settings I am using should it be of any use.

  19. BOX4 v2 is now depreciated, in terms of my time
I've started BOX4 v3 which will be released soon. I've moved over to WPF, of which I love, and hate!

Please consider adding the ability to add subtitles and set as forced...it would be the definitive MKV Toolnix alternative

Sounds a good idea, I'll look into it.

    Great!

¿How is the work with the new version (Box4 v3) going?
¿Do you already know when it will be available/realesed?

  23. @video.baba: if it's possible, consider adding the ability to apply Delay positive or negative (ms) on the audio tracks.

    Thanks.

It's highly unlikely that will happen. I did ponder including a trim/cut, and a delay audio +/- but there's a few reasons I'm not going to, at least for the time being.

First, I don't like the way it’s currently implemented in FFMEG. Unfortunately, I can’t control audio delay on a per stream level in the same way as I can with things like: bitrate, channels, filters etc., it takes different methods and multiple file inputs which, as with a trim/cut, different things happen depending on whether you are encoding a stream, or copying a stream.

Lastly, the whole point of BOX4, formally Rebox, was/is, trying to keep it simple. Once you get the hang of it, little changes are needed between sessions, just load and go. I intentionally want to keep it doing just a few things. There are many other good free programs that will do a lot more. Doing a lot more is not the intention of BOX4.

    Ok, thank you anyway

I thought it was easier to delay or advance the audio, 'cause with MKVToolnix seems really easy.
It would be possible to enable support for ASS / SSA without encoding'em to another format.
A portable version will be great. I love your program, it's the best.

    Bye.

In MKV, this is already supported, and has always been supported.

    Yeah, sorry.
But, doesn't convert ASS to Tx3g?

  29. In MP4, it converts to Tx3g.
