  1. Hello,

Not sure, if this is the right forum to ask.

I want to send videos via WhatsApp. My handset is GT-I8552.

I can copy MP4 files from computer to my phone in 2 ways:

    1- Convert before copying
If I follow this process, the file is converted to WMV format but doesn't play video and outputs audio only

    2- Copy 'as is'
The files plays but WhatsApp rejects as 'unsupported format'.

    Please advise.

    Thanks

There is a 16 MB size limit for each video, as set by WhatsApp.
It would seem logical if playback support for WhatsApp attachments is tied to the smartphone’s standard video support, which may differ from what your desktop/laptop is capable of, and which may differ from the recipient’s phone’s capabilities. The GT-I8552 phone should support MP4, but likely only a subset of all MP4 options. I haven’t seen a list of precise specs; so that could warrant some testing to find its limits.

  5. I get files larger than 15mb and much higher resolution but I can't upload files unless I reduce resolution.

Is there an easy way to convert?
    Thanks
