  1. I've been using TMPGEnc v2.53 to make VCD's. I would like to try creating a SVCD but I get the Trial Period expired message. I want to try the process first to make sure my stand-alone player can play it, and if it does I'll gladly pay the reasonable $48.00 fee.

    Is there anyway to get around the error message in order to test it?

    Feel pretty sure that there isn't such a method, but I hate to spend the $48.00 just to find out that I can't play them anyway.

    Thanks.

  2. I might be wrong, but I didn't think that the 30-day trial period started until you first tried to encode to mpeg-2...I must be mistaken.

    Try uninstalling the software and reinstalling. This should reset the timer.

  4. of course there is a way... delete this registry key;

    [-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{63902277-B101-4049-8B46-C24B67E155E5}]

    of course, backup your registry just in case you **** up

    have fun...

    one a side note:
    this mirror_image guy is a real ass.. half of his responses are not even solutions to the questions people ask.. they're just ******* replies.. i guess he has nothing better to do with his life though..

    mirror_image ( i admit) do make some ******* replies but some people ask ******* questions when all they have to do is look to the left of the web page... asking how to "convert to divx" when they havent even looked at the how to page yet is a waste of a "posted message".

  7. mirror is cool....granted some of the profound comments that are off the wall may not be instructive as it relates to this board but nonetheless are worth the bandwidth. Especially in an open forum. Live and let live.

    As a wise sage once told me "eat straw and you'll see potatos, smell the cardboard and the stars will produce lemon filled screaming cows".
