    i am unable to fast forward my mpg file. even when i drag the slider, it goes back to where i was.
    what do i do ?

    How far apart are your I-frames in that mpeg file?

    If you are referring to VirtualDub, I have the same problem as well. I simply stop the video, move the slider to part of the video I want, then select "play".
