    I can't say if it works on 1709 or not. Mine is already turned off automatically because I use a different AV software.

    Should auto turn off if different av software is present. If you just want it off to be off then use Arnold_Layne's link before my post. On my cherrytrail netbook its on with only 2gb of ram and has caused surprisingly little impact.
