I am having some difficulty in editing this particular Divx file in Avidemux.
Using media info, this file is analyzed as per below screenshot, probably a variant of MP4.
Problem is I have tried to use most output formats in Avidemux and all are resulting in visible loss / deterioration in the video quality. The output formats I have tried are :
AVI, MP4, MP4v2, and MKV.
I have even tried to convert the original file to another format (MPEG2) through WinAVI Video Converter and then edit in MPEG Video Wizard but still same loss in quality.
Any advice on what is the best way to edit this file?
Thanks and regards.

This is already a low resolution, low bitrate file. But saying that, you should be be able to convert it
to mp4 or mkv using AVC compression and have it look close to the original.
What is wrong with the results you get now?
What do you mean by editing? What are you trying to do?
Thank you for your reply. Sorry for late response.
I am trying to edit the file using Avidemux. Although I have selected same output format as the original format (like avi muxer for avi files) the resulting file is slightly grainy and different color shades.
Can you help me locate a good (paid or free) software which can edit without encoding thus saving the original file state?
Avidemux should already be able to do it AFAIK (I don't really use it). Probably have to set video and audio to "copy" or something like that.
Alternatives: VirtualDub (Press F1 for help and see "Processing"->"Smart rendering" and "Processing"->"Direct mode"), SolveigMM Video Splitter, VideoReDo ...
(I can't see your screenshot so I'm just gonna assume DivX in AVI container. In the future it is better to set "View"->"Text" in MediaInfo and simply copy&paste the text here than to post screenshots.)
