since all the DVD's i rip, i am just going to burn to a VCD, i don't need to convert to AVI first. I just want to rip the DVD and convert it to MPEG-1 without losing quality in the AVI encoding. Then burn to a VCD using Nero.
is there a program that will do this? or am i missing something? everything i've found has to convert to AVI first and THEN mpeg-1, but since i'm only concerned with VCD then its pointless to convert to AVI first.
heres the progs im using:
ripping: DVD Decrypter
encoding: FLASK / TMPGenc
burning: NERO v5.5.5.1
help?!

you can Use Some frame server to do that. or use DVDx Rip the DVD to hard drive open the DVDX and let it know what you want and what CD size your are going to use to record ie 74 or 80 or so. go to sleep. You get the VCD mpeg. burn it on CD.

Smartripper, DVD2AVI, TMPGEnc [load some good vcdtemplate], burn with nero.
