I have 251 files, I would like to just change the resolution to 1366x768, to fit my TV set. Currently they are at 640x480, is there a piece of software that only does this? Without editing the file? John

IMHO best is to let it be and let TV to upscale it during playing.
Edit: If your TV is unable to strech 4/3 to 16/9 you can use Mkvtoolnix and set aspect ratio here. Then click on Start multiplexing. It is fast, but not sure if TV will accept it.

What manono is saying is that you have a tv/monitor with supposedly 1366x768 resolution (that means it has a 16:9 aspect ratio), and you have source video(s) that has/have 640x480 resolution (that means 4:3 aspect ratio assuming square pixels), so you would be stretching your 4:3 ar material wider to fit a 16:9 canvas. The only time that is known to work properly is if someone accidentally squeezed the original 16:9 footage into the 4:3 size and saved it that way with everything tall & skinny.
Otherwise, what he said is what will happen - short, fat/wide objects & people.
You should let the 640x480 be scaled up to 1024x768 and have pillarbars.
