Prevent XP Cyberlink 8 automatically starting when I use camcorder?

Every time I turn on the camcorder (through firewire) to capture mini dv tapes Cyberlink Power Director8 starts up. Somehow it became the default program for this I guess. I prefer to use Windv. Could someone tell me where I can find the XP setting to stop Cyberlink from starting when the camcorder starts playing? Thanks.
