Hello everybody,
I want to buy the Panasonic MDR-ES10 from the United Kingdom. I want to use it in the Netherlands as a pass through and TBC for captruring old VHS and HI8 tapes. But is that possible if the dvd recorder is from the UK? I know both countries use PAL, but that’s PAL-I in the UK and PAL-B in the netherlands. Who can help me with this?
Thanks

As I understand it the difference between PAL and PAL-B is the audio, and only in the way it's multiplexed in the over-the-air RF signal. Since you won't be using RF you should have no problems.

I would have thought that all models were the same except for power constraints.
I am sure that my recorders have internal setting for PAL I/B etc.
