    With the free software OBS Studio can you record anything on your screen. Including ANY streaming video.




    Software required:
    OBS Studio




    Guide:
    Start OBS Studio. (If you are using the portable version then go to the Bin folder and find the obs64 or obs32 exe files)

    Under Sources click on the + and choose Display Capture. Click OK.

    Click on Transition and you should see your desktop in both preview windows.
    Click Start Recording

    Other:
    Under Settings can you change the Output Settings like higher video bitrate for higher video quality. Change video extension from flv to mp4, etc.
