    Can anyone help me make the Insignia NS-HDVD18 region free? I got a German DVD from my university library and it will not play.

    there's no hacks for your player, but you can try the ones here - https://www.videohelp.com/dvdhacks?dvdplayer=+Insignia&hits=50&Search=Search
    another problem is that making your player region free doesn't mean that the disc will play. you'll have an NTSC - PAL issue.
