More details please. Best as a whole MeGUI log file, so we can see the original format, the original dimensions, the source filter being used, etc.

I would suggest you turn off Color Correction unless you intend to upscale SD content to HD. Probably has nothing to do with your green line problem, it's just another problem.

Maybe showing your script might help.

I have no idea who this "Bro" is...

MeGUI always creates log files. They are saved in the subdirectory "logs" where MeGUI is installed.

My suspicion is an oddity with a specific resampler and specific original heights...

But this is just a log of starting and quitting MeGUI, without running a job. All I can see here is that you did not yet switch MeGUI to download development updates.

Look for a larger one which contains the name of a video you converted with such a green line.

  11. Is the green line only in the preview or also in the encoded result? (GPU driver bug)

I see you are using dss2 source filter which uses your system's DirectShow filters. Try different source filter (e.g. ffms2) and/or try installing a different DirectShow filter like LAV Filters.

it shows in encoded videos and in final preview ..when its ready to encode.

I had used MEGUI 0.3.5 and encoded many videos including movies songs etc there was no green line never there, some days back i have to install a fresh windows 7 on my PC and i tried to install it again but when it asks to restart MEGUI to complete the update process it crashes I tried many times after failing in updating the old MEGUI I finally downloaded the latest MEGUI and facing this weird kind of issue.

its is in every video i encode.

It seems to similar as some video renderer playing video in some players. If you can change Haali media splitter somewhere in your settings for something else probably can help also. And last thing, will it hurt your encoded video if you set it to mod 8?

    1. Have you mentioned what is your source file resolution, codecs?
    2. In extra settings tab, there is prefer DSS2 over Directshow..... Have you tried to unchecked it?
    3. Have you tried to play encoded video in VLC player for example, or using same player with same settings? Probably codecs packs can be problem.
    4. Why do you don't use old version of MeGUI, that was without problem?

Edit: If you re-encoding to 1280x720 you can do mod16 which makes sure you have not problem with mod settings.

Sorry I'm not familiar with MeGUI, just noticed, I have similar problem in video playback that was caused by video renderer.

    Bernix

1-problem occurs in every video file / format of whatever resolution, yes mentioned in the log file.
2- not yet I' ll try it but don't think so by doing it would work cause MEGUI asks every time before encoding a video to select three different methods of encoding and I encode it with DSS2 option.
3- yes i have tried playing in other players same thing no good, u mean codecs can also be buggy and if that is so how can other videos are playing fine thn ?
4- have used old version that was working flawless unless i installed fresh Windows 7 on my PC, and during installation of MEGUI it asks to restart to complete update process but when i click Ok MeGUI crashes always no matter how many times i try.

mmm i am having this problem only in my encoded videos.

Have you tried to check if the problem is related only to MeGui? Have you re-encoded video using Handbrake, Avidemux or similar program? Maybe the result will be same and you will have problem somewhere else. But most probably it will be without green lines, so you will get nowhere.
    Quote Quote
  25. You can check via GraphStudioNext (32 bit) which filters are used. Just drag&drop the source file on it. If it's not LAV Splitter and LAV Video you need to clean your system. Deinstall Haali, Codec Packs etc. Then do a clean install of just LAV Filters.

Otherwise: don't use DSS. Use ffms. ffms doesn't use system codecs.
Or maybe the problem is not the source filter but the other filters (InterFrame()?)? Comment them out for testing.

I had the same suspicion but somewhere earlier he said old encodes play fine.

MeGUI as such is the least problem, because it is only a user interface generating an AviSynth script and controlling the conversion process.

More important are the choices how to create the script (e.g. which source filter to be used, which resampling filter, which height modulo). Starting with the source filters: Preferring one based on the DirectShow system is usually the first mistake. Most experienced people I know recommend trying the File Indexer first (with either FFMS2 or L-SMASH Works).

Otherwise: don't use DSS. Use ffms. ffms doesn't use system codecs.
Or maybe the problem is not the source filter but the other filters (InterFrame()?)? Comment them out for testing.

I had the same suspicion but somewhere earlier he said old encodes play fine.
Tried installed LAV filters as said reinstalled K-lite Codec pack profile 9 and FFMS wont encode.

Do you really needs K-lite Codec pack? Is it mandatory with MeGUI?
