virtualdub subtitle remover

Hi all

I am trying out this tutorial to remove subs on a movie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvdkkGJnyMo&t=88s

but on the 1st pass in the right hand window its not showing Bright white pixels represents found subtitles over the subs, how can I make it do that I have set up a temp folder in C drive


I thought maybe at least 1 person could help

Did you have any luck with this? I used it recently and got a result,
but it's dependent on the contrast between the subs and surrounding area's
and the related setting in the filter "subtitle Preset" and/or the custom controls
adjustment.
Seems to work better on some video's than others
