I recently purchased an Apex 1200 DVD player so I thought I would try burning some VCD's. THe first ones went fine, just converting some TV shows from MPEG to VCD with Nero. THey played fine on the Apex. I have been reading these forums and help guides so I thought I would try the movie conversion.
I decided on AVI2SVDC as my conversion tool (with TMPEG or whatever it's called). My first few attempts didn't work because Norton AV was stopping one of the apps from writing to disk. Solving that problem, I have finally gotten my first bin and cue files...woohoo!....Only, they would not play on the Apex...it says no disk. They will however play on my PC with WINDVD so I know the files are good. I did sample burns with NEro and Fireburner, both had the same results.
Any ideas as to what could be wrong? Any settings to change? Should I continue to try SVDC?

This looks lika a problem I had.

Have you choosen to finalice the CD in your burner prog?

In Nero there's a box for doing so, and if let open the CD won't work on standalone players.

I feel certain that I did finalize and I also burned with Fireburner. Got the same results. It must be something else.
