    Bonjour ;

    Presentation :
    My LG TV 2017 is compatible with Atmos + Eac3, but not Atmos + TrueHD. That's why I would like to convert my audio tracks to Atmos + Eac3. This would allow me to enjoy 3D audio.

    Do you know how to do it ? :/
    Source: MKV (Track 1: Video HEVC / Track 2: TrueHD + Atmos)
    Desired output: MKV (track 1: Video HEVC / Track 2: Earc3 + Atmos)

    Thanks !

    What you intend to do requires the official Dolby Media Encoder, which is not freeware, plus a Mac computer.

    If not confusing, I find that strange, since Atmos is an extension to TrueHD, so no Atmos without TrueHD... I don't really understand what this would mean.
    What does your manual say about this compatibility? Can you choose & output Atmos to the ARC-HDMI connection? Or does it just accept Atmos input and recode/downmix? Or does it accept the so-called "Atmos + Eac3" so it can just demux & output the Eac3 audio only?
    How do you connect your tv to your AVR?

    Edit: BTW you can't mux Atmos and AC3 in one track within a mkv container.
