if you don't know what it is, .sfd is the extension used for Dreamcast movies. The reason why it's better is, it handle up to 640x480 resolution, it's like a xvcd, I recently encoded a 30 minute divx with a 640x480 size, and i put the birate to 3000, with the audio at 192. and played it on my dreamcast, and i could of sworn i was watching a dvd movie. The quality is really good, And the Dreamcast is only 50 Bucks! I even had a friend who sold his DC for 20 bucks. It is kinda of hard to make a .sfd though, because I searched all over the net, and i couldn't find any software or guides on how to make it. But I recently found the software on mIRC and a guide in german. The program is called "Sega Dreamcast movie creator" and it looks Exactly like the Panasonic mpeg1 encoder except that it encodes to .sfd instead of vcd. If anybody has a dreamcast, you should try making a .sfd, I made a 30 second clip if you want to sample it out. Holla
