Im using the latest VLC. I have a several MP4 files recorded from my phone which are auto-rotated to the wrong angle; it should be in landscape but it is showing in portrait OR the other way around.
AFAIK this is bc the meta info within the MP4 is stating to rotate 90' due to how i oriented the phone at the start of the record and VLC is trying to respect this meta info. Is there a way to have VLC ignore meta info for all future videos OR to have some external app silently load up and clip this info before VLC sees it? Despite all the player's settings they seemed to have forgotten to add an ignore checkbox. But then the group tends to stubbornly ignore other simple things like releasing the screen-blanking hold when the movie is paused. Sheesh.
Thanks
