    Hello,

    I am discovering VSDC.

The last section of the video I am working on contains a serious fastforward section (1000%). As a result the preview is inusable, it just doesnt' work on that section. So to make things fit I have to export the video to view it, then make adjustments in VSDC, then re-export etc. It is a bit tedious, so my question is :

Is it possible to export only part of the video in VSDC ?

I have tried, but have not found the solution yet.

Many thanks for your help !!!

  2. I imagine if you select the whole track and copy it to clipboard, delete the sections you don't want, then export the remainder, you have your final exported clip.If you then paste the whole track back and delete the clips, you're back where you started. Don't use it, so I don't know if there is a way to isolate a section.

Edit: most editors can turn a track on or off (include/exclude). Maybe just copy the clips you need to a new track and exclude the main track, and render.
This seems to be 'the' new free NLE. Will have to check it out over the coming weeks. When time permits.

Hi transporterfan, many thanks for your idea. It is excellent, I just applied it, so I could export smaller files and finetune the timing. All the best to you !
