Hi all,
I have been using WINDV successfully for years and love the software for capturing all video sources. However I have had this nagging problem that I cant find a solution for.
When capturing miniDV through firewire into WINDV I have no issue with tapes that are originally recorded entirely in 12bit audio or ALL 16bit audio. The issue is when a tape has a combination of both 12bit and 16bit audio recorded. All video and audio captures fine until the the bit rate changes. At that moment I lose the audio signal and nothing is recorded for the remainder of the tape.
I have tried various other capture software and all sorts of weird and wonderful things happen with audio sections looping indefinitely etc..
Has anyone figured out a solution or workaround for this issue other than manually capturing each section of tape or pushing out through A/V (which is not a good solution).
Thanks heaps

hmm.. I was kinda hoping there may exist some sort of filtering device that can process the audio on the way through? no?
