Not able to use new Pinnacle PCTV 5.01 drivers

Hello,

I have Pinnacle PCTV and I downloaded the latest 5.01 drivers from the pinnacle (european) website. (I am in Europe)

I installed them but the test later on by the PCTV Assistant failes saying that there is a software problem and also the capture tests fails.

Has anybody had a similar problem.

I had similiar problems with the new driver.
It failed under capture tests, because i didn't use directX 8.1. I used 8.0+bda.
After installing the latest directX, the testprogram showed no errors.
But my problem occurd when i used the PCTV-application, to search for channels on the cabel, it only find 2 channels.
And the quality on those 2 cannels wasen't that good.
I uninstalled version 5.1, and went back to the original drivers and program.
I capture on a P3-500, 448Mb PC100 Ram, WIN2000 on a SCSI-disc, an capture to a 40Gb IDE.

I've come back to my old 4.x drivers. No use in wasting time around the new ones. I wonder if Pinnacle knows the problem. So many people are spending time with these new drivers.
