so i downloaded an older movie vhsrip and it has rus lang and eng audio tracks
how is this possible i thought vhs tapes only had one audio track
also if vhs do have 2 audio tracks how would somebody rip both audio tracks to separate audio tracks
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

A VHS recording may have up to 4 separate audio tracks: a stereo HiFi pair and a stereo linear pair. When the tape has two audio programs they are probably divided between HiFi and linear. In this case the tape would have to be converted twice and the second audio program properly synced up.

Could have originally had linear tracks as one language (subsequent overdubbed) and hifi tracks as other language (original).
Or could have been Left Channel = Lang1 and Right Channel = Lang2 with later mix separation after capture.

Good luck on your quest. Be aware that most Russian voice-over / over-dubbing is on top of the original soundtrack and can't be removed. -
Many Russian releases have two languages -- one with left and right channels in phase, the other with the left and right channels out of phase. To hear only the in phase language you add the two channels. To hear only the out of phase language you subtract the two channels. Russian players/TVs apparently have a switch for this.
