  1. Hi... I created a slideshow following instructions on VCDhelp using Ulead Picture Show. Every went well, instructions we're very easy to follow and they play on the computer Great! They play in my DVD player as well and quality is good, with one major exception, they race (run much faster than how they were set up). Both the actual timing of the slide show pictures and music run fast (Music sounds like a version of the chipmunks?)

If anyone could tell me why this is happening... I sure would appreciate your help.

    thanks

  2. I believe that Ulead puts the images + music in a non-standard way (multiple still images multiplexed with audio stream I think) and this simply doesn't play properly on some players (for example, it sounds like that your player is actually playing through the MPEG as if it were reading it at 75 sectors/s).

    Regards.

  3. I use Uleaad's Picture show to burning slideshows on VCD and DVD. I dont' have any problems with music added to slideshow. I add .WAV and .MP3 and everything works perfect.

    You should try again.

I also use Ulead DVD picture show and it plays back great on my Toshiba DVD player. I did read once or twice that people had problems with some software if they used mp3 sound files.

Try basic wav files it might fix the problem. No idea why, but give it a try it may help!

  5. As per my above post.

What works on one player may not work on another -- especially if the content authored is non-standard.

  6. Thanks for you suggestions...

It's not only the music but the slideshow (timing of the pic) as well...? I find this puzzleing as I Have done VCD's successfully and they play well in my Hitachi??

Any ways... maybe it is the DVD player?? who knows

    Thanks again

  7. you have the vcd compliant option checked in Preferences? If you don't see it you need to install patch 2

  9. Ulead actually does not make a MPEG1 video file out of the pictures. Rather it encodes them to hi-rez still MPEGs and cycles through them at the fixed rate specified during aithoring.

I have found converting the MP3 backgrounds to WAV makes a disc work better in some instances. Also I found there is a bug where if the music is shorter than the slides it may repeat into a random part of the song. Having a song longer than the slides is fine (it will truncate).

  10. yes it will loop if the mp3 is shorter than your slideshow. It can be prevented but takes some calculation on your part. See my tips
