Hi. I am new to these threads, but I could really use some help here.
I purchased the LG external Blu-Ray writer (Model No. WP50NB40) some time ago, and ripping speeds for Blu-Ray seem to be fine at 8x when I use DVDFab Passkey for Windows. However, no matter which program I use to rip DVDs with this drive I have, the ripping speeds are quite slow, compared to the internal DVD burner I already have, which seemingly does not have riplock. In other words, my external Blu-Ray burner rips DVDs at half the speed of my internal DVD burner, regardless of anything.
So, I am looking for a Blu-Ray drive that I am looking for an internal Blu-Ray drive that does NOT have riplock for Blu-Ray discs and DVDs. (Especially DVDs). Does anyone have any suggestions. I very much appreciate your time to help me out.
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

You'll need to dig deep into reviews and specs to find one.....that is not something that manufacturers list faithfully.
Then again...."read speed" is a pretty good indicator.
