If I were to swap out my existing Windows 7 AMD MOBO, with a new Ryzen CPU and MOBO and 16GB of DDR4. While still running the same Windows 7 OS on the same drive, does anyone foresee any major problems for me? I know that when the MOBO gets changed Windows will demand a new key, so that's not a problem. The MOBO I'm looking at has PS/2 and USB 2.0 ports, along with USB 3.0. I know I should probably install these drivers before the swapout, https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-chipset-drivers-download.html or this one https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/a320

If PS/2 will work then nothing stops you from installing usb drivers on already running system.

My three cents here...
1) Download that file
2) open Intel-9260-9560-9462-8265-8260-7265-3165-WiFi-Driver_DD83D_WIN_20.50.0.8334_A02.EXE in 7-zip
3) Go to production folder and extract whole Windows10-x64 folder
4) Force install missing drivers via Device Manager. -

have you tried checking windows update to see if it can find a driver for the wireless card ??
Only updates found, no driver. -
The laptop just shutdown after this, Is there anyway I could make it work? I have an AMD discrete GPU with i5 8th Gen processor. Thanks for the help man, I really appreciate your work,

Just registered to express my gratitude to the OP for preparing this awesome tool! U rock!
Now about my case,
I own a x570 Gigabyte Aorus Elite mobo with a Ryzen 5 3600x and I am trying to install win7 on a M2 Silicon power nvme disc.
I have prepared the iso and I have some questions about running this:
1) do I need any special drivers for my drive?
2) do I need a ps2 keyboard? my mobo doesn't have any ps2 ports
3) how to install it? should I just prepare a bootable usb and go ahead with the installation? will my usb mouse and keyboard work normally? -
Btw, if you only have issue with the NVMe support. try this tool.

Thanks..
So, method 1) and 2) are not currently available.
And 3) it's not clear how to "Install the proper driver for the NVMe SSD". Install it where?
I have the windows installed already and I have access to this partition through my standard Win10 setup, but I can't find any way to install the Nvme driver or which driver to install.
I have a Silicon Power PCIe M.2 NVMe SSD 1TB Gen3x4 model, which has a Toshiba controller. -
You try Ms-dart for Windows 7, please Let me know if it works out for you or not.

I suspect that you installed win7 without CSM mode enabled in bios. Updated win7 Has native support for nvme so you do not need 3rd party driver.

Just reporting back after upgrading to a Ryzen 3rd Gen. The MOBO transfer went fine (while keeping the original Win7 drive) but the USB support was lost on start up. After using my PS2 mouse I managed to install the drivers for the MOBO and now hours after battling driver issues everything seems to be settled.

I am having trouble with installation, initially I had a bad checksum so I re-dled and did manage to get it off once, now however I get bad checksums to varying degrees when opening the same archive which did before manage to submit to be extracted to a self titled folder, I went through the process with the tool and the log said that it had been completed successfully but there was no output ISO to demonstrate that this was really the case, plenty goes on in the folder which has the tool in it but nothing gets placed on my desktop which is my output directory, when it did this I had used an ISO which was different than the recommended one, so I referred to the Q&A on here and so I ended up getting that ISO and using it but I had this problem:

Do note that I deleted the folder with the tool in it multiple times and pulled it again in case there were changes to the folders in it which contained artifacts from the present install and might complicate the next try.
