When converting a dfxp file to srt, I run into the following problem:
Line breaks aren't converted by Subtitle Edit and some other programs. The resulting file is therefore in 1 line and missing some spaces. Likein thisexample.
The dfxp file does contain a tag to break, namely: <tt:br/>
But this doesn't work and is ignored.
I have a workaround but it's not a solution.
Any ideas for alternatives?

Do you have short dfxp file sample?

That was the first thing that I tried but it makes the dfxp file unreadable for Subtitle Edit.

Open the Angel 1984 4511552a-0368-4ed6-bc79-7c6bae7e312f.dfxp in a text editor.
Replace <tt:br/> with <br /> and save.
Drop the file onto Subtitle Editor. -
Hi, dear all.
That one is OK. I had a workaround myself, it's just that it requires some extra work that might be avoided.

I did just like videobruge said. After that, using Notepad, I have saved the file and opened it using Subtitle Edit ( portable / latest version ).
Then, I saved the file into srt format. No problems concerning line break / space.
Can you do it without any issues now? -
I guess I forgot the space inside that tag, because br/ doesn't work but br / does. Thanks, that's at least an easier workaround than what I used before.

Hi, is there a TimedText specification document of the dfxp format where the 'tt:' addition is present?
In all specifications I've seen I can not find it, and I would like to be sure before I implement it in Subtitle Workshop...
Thanks in advance!Kind Regards,

That looks like a default prefix from the W3C candidate recommendation. The root tt element could have any prefix, or none, defined for the http://www.w3.org/ns/ttml namespace.
