  1. my mpeg2 file is 784MB in size. As far as I know, SVCDs can handle 800mb or lower files. When I try to burn it, it says that the CD doesn't have enough space. Does anyone know how I can get around this? I turned the "overburn" option on but it still would give me the "not enough space" message. somebody Help!!

  2. Nero has to recognized your mpeg2 file as svcd compliant, otherwise it will not write it mode2 which will let you get the 800mb on the cdr.

You need to remux with bbmpeg, or tmpgenc latest version.

  3. how do imake it svcd complaint. So far the file is mpeg2 (converted from divx using tmpgenc). When I place it in the super-video-cd layout in nero, it gives me a windows where 3 buttons with captions saying

    1. "turn off standard compliance and continue" (I usually pick this one)
    2. "reencode the file"
    3. "cancel"

How do i make it svcd compliant? I mean, it is in mpeg2 format, isnt that good enough??? the resolution of my file is 480x480 and the frames/sec sis 29.97. Does svcd only accept a certain resolution? And does that mean that I have to reencode the whole movie again?? (!!!) doh!!

  4. I think what supercrew is suggesting is that you do a simple demultiplex in tmpg, and re-multiplex using bbmpeg.

  5. if nero says that clip is 480x480 at 29.97 fps, there are only 2 things left nero can possibly say to make it non compliant-

audio is not 44100 hz or wrong stream type.

If wrong hz, reencode audio and mux, if wrong stream type, go into merge and cut and choose mpeg-2 supervideocd and hit run
