Hey gang.
Got another advanced newbie question for y'all...
I'm attempting to export my timeline to an MPEG2 file for use on a SVCD throught the LSX plugin. The original file is (I think) 640X272 or some such thing... The resulting 480X480 MPEG has altered the aspect ratio of the original file to be fullscreen. I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to "letterbox" it so I can keep the widescreen ratio of the original file. Any suggestions?
BTW, I'm using LXS export is very fast (which I why I'm using it instead of TMPGEnc...about two times faster.) and the quality is good enough for what I'm looking for--so I'm not really looking to frameserve it to TMPG or anything. Thanks for any help you can pass along!

Ligos is not going to do that for you. perhaps there is a feature in Premiere that can resize and add black borders? Otherwise, Tmpeg and /or virtualdub will do the trick.

There is a option on adobe Premire to keep the same aspect ratio. This option will be on the menu on the timeline when you right click on it under video.
