    I was playing with my installed codecs and I think I messed something up, because I can no longer play SVCD (MPEG2) files.

    I can still play VCD (MPEG1) files, but when I try playing an SVCD (MPEG2) file, Windows Media Player tries to "download the appropriate codec" and then fails.

    How do I install a new SVCD (MPEG2) codec ??

    Which is the best SVCD (MPEG2) codec to install ??

    download DVD Movie Factory it has a nice encoder
