adobe audition question

Hi,
I have a pre-amp with a pot, like this I can set the db volume when recording vinyls (to care about not to be higher than -3, for example).
But my actual configuration don't allow me to do it.
When I record, even if I try to set the pot, nothing change, the db level is sat automaticaly around -4/-6db, but sometimes, it depend on the volume level of some vinyls, it goes over -3db. I don't know how to fix this in Audition, but would like to set the db volume manualy with the pot of my pre-amp.

Cell - AT 440MLb
Sound Card = Soundblaster Audigy 5-RX

You probably need to adjust the gain on the Soundblaster driver. Control Panel/Sound/Recording Devices/Properties/Levels (in Win7).

I have win10 (''niveaux'' means ''level'')
I have two ''plugins'' (I don't know how to name it) linked to my sound card, but only the 2nd one give me more level options (pls see each time selected in blue). Should I choose ''haut-parleurs'' instead of ''sortie spdif''? (''haut parleurs'' means ''speakers'')

J'aimerais le faire par le biais du potard maneul qui se trouve sur mon pré-ampli.
Lorsque j'utilisais mon pc portabel je pouvais, maintenant avec mon fixe et une nouvelle carte je ne peux plus..
Mais merci pour le conseil du menu enregistrement, en effet, j'y arrive aussi de cette façon donc c'est l'essentiel
