  1. Hello, Im trying to extract the video stream from a mkv file so I can use it directly with TMPGEnc so I dont loose that much quality when converting it. Is there a way to do it or the only way is to re compress it before compressing it again with TMPGEnc?

  2. Use an Avisynth script like

    Code:
    DirectShowSource("D:\file.mkv", convertfps=true)
    as input to TMPGEnc

    Search Comp PM
or perhaps gMKVExtractGUI and select the tracks you want to extract, no conversion takes place.

AFIK TMPGenc doesn't supports elementary streams.

  6. I also have version 2.5 (2.525.64.184) and it supports AviSynth script.

Did you copy the code above and saved it as a .avs file?
