Hi
Just digital video from which the player can create internal timecode from framerate and position HH:MM:SS:ff - and read from an input of some sort.
Any standalone players that do this?
Any software players that do this?
It need not display timecode, that I have in daw generating SMPTE code. Just that it gets to same position each time and play in sync.
Grateful for any input.
Thanks.

Thank you.
Forgot to mention I am on PC.
For Mac I also found Video Slave by Non-Lethal-Applications. But next v4.x will also be for Windows, and arrive some time late next year.
Best solution so far is using MIDI and MTC(midi time code) between daws on different computers. So slave another daw on other computer, kind of.
But have to check first with virtual midi cable if it position good enough - best if it at least go to I-frame accurate, but best if frame accurate. -
VidPlayMTC MIDI Time Code Video Player for Windows is now DonationWare.
Free download at https://vidplaymtc.com -
VidPlayVST can be configured as a video server using Vienna Ensemble Pro...

VidPlayVST now has the option to display SMPTE timecode, including setting an offset value. Useful when scoring to film where there is a convention that frame 0 has timecode 01:00:00:00.
