I mean, I think she was a good member and helped some people ( including me ) in some questions.

Well, all good members missing is a bad thing, because all comunity will lose their nice advices in many topics.

Don't you have to provide a valid email address in case you forget your password (or it get's corrupted - which is obviously FAR more likely than me EVER forgetting a password! ) or to get notifications that someone has posted to a thread that you've contributed to?

Nope, I had no problem with other members here. Some members are the problem, which is a very-different thing.
One of such members is a VH moderator. The other member is a Doom9 moderator.
