Hi, newbie here I am trying to write subtitles in XML format with Notepad and can't change the colours for different speakers.Does anyone know how to do this?
Cheers!
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

You'll have to be more specific.
Going by Subtitle Edit's "Save As" dialog, there are lots of XML subtitle formats:

Sorry I have coded subtitles in notepad++ typing in the start and finish timecodes. Let me know if I'm still not being clear enough
thank you -
XML is an extremely versatile format - it can define its own variable names and data types. Saying it's XML essentially means nothing without knowing the exact "flavor." Please include a short working example.
(Why not use a subtitle editor and the .ASS format? It is widely used and does what what you want - different colors)
