I am using MMC 7.6 to capture a tape ( tapes ) from VHS, here is what I get, when trying to capture a movie having the VCR connected to the PC the video gets stuck in a 1 sec loop & it will just keep on repeating itself over & over, however there is a 1/2 inch gap @ the top of the video where you can see the top of the movie going on & of course the audio is fine too.
Now, if I connect CopyMaster inbetween my VCR & PC the video goes on fine for the most part, every so often I get the same problem as aboved except for that is only lasts for about 10 sec & then it goes away & the video is playing fine.
Any idea what this may be?
I am encoding it into Mpeg1 using 6Mbit rate ( then I conver it over to Divx or so)
Thanx

one word--Macrovision. Find the MMC patch that some generous fellow by the name of stinky created and it will solve most (not all) of your problems. I say this becasue some VHS tapes will still give you grief no matter what you do--for me its the star wars set. Do a search and you will find of what I Speak. It might still be at www.dosrules.com but I'm not sure.
