I am wishing to capture VHS tapes from my USB capture device.
- Intel Core i5-4210M
- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M
- Microsoft Windows 10 (x64)
I have extracted VirtualDub FilterMod 16 update 4 but there are five applications with the VirtualDub icon:
I presume I need to use Veedub64, is that correct?
- auxsetup (59 KB)
- vdub (9 KB)
- vdub64 (11 KB)
- Veedub64 (5.71 MB)
- VirtualDub (4.26 MB)

VirtualDub.exe is the 32-bit version of VirtualDub, while Veedub64.exe is the 64-bit version. If you plan on adding a bunch of 3rd party filters, you are probably better off using the 32-bit version, as many filters were written as 32-bit only and do not have 64-bit counterparts. Some do, but many don't.

vdub.exe & vdub64.exe are console wrappers, may be useful if you want to write some batch scripts.
 auxsetup.exe is probably useless.

auxsetup.exe sets up the frameserver (Registery entries, etc.). You need to run it once if you ever plan to use the frameserver.
