  1. Hello my father has a good collection of old songs and some memorable moments in audio cassettes. We have Panasonic RX-CT65 System. Manual Please help me to convert those to MP3.

    Thanks

  2. That system doesn't have line out so you'll have to use the headphone output. Run a cable from the headphone output to the line-in input on your sound card. Use whatever software you want to record. Audacity (free) for example.

The headphone output may be too "loud" for the line-in input on your sound card. If so, you'll to use a pair of attenuators:

    or a passive volume control:

The unit has a volume control, I would assume it controls both speakers and headphones when plugged in, Start with low volume out and increase, keeping an eye on 'db's' in Audacity.

I only ever had to buy a pre-amp cuz of low output, , , , (ie: turntable cartridge)

You may find that cassettes recorded on a different machine sound dull or muffled when you play them back on the Panasonic. If so, you will need to adjust the azimuth of your playback head — if you can get to it on this deck.

  5. To complete all above - it will be good to provide load on headphone output - 2 resistors (1 on Left and 1 on Right channel) 32 - 100Ohm should do the job.
