I use "generate media text" thing to put text on the screen, and I want to sightly darken a bit the square that surrounds the text, but I don't see a way to do it within the text plugin thing. I hope im not forced to create rectangles of different shapes and automate everything each time because that's just retarded. Im hoping there's a way to automatically darken the background that is automatically generated when you use the generate media text thing.

In case im not being clear, I took this screenshot:
As you can see there's a grey rectangle around the text that pops up when you want to move the text. I want this area to be a bit darkened so the text can be readed easier.
In the "Video Media Generator" windows in the "advanced" tab there's "background", but when I darken it out it darkens the entire screen for some reason and not only the area that occupy the subtitles as you would expect. -
Don't use that one, use the protype titler - the background will do what you want
