    i have some video files i want to extract just the audio from them to .flac or .mp3

    potplayer has the capability, yes?

    In the menu you can find "Audio">"Sound Recording">"Sound Recording ...".

    But I think it's lossy and only works in real-time. Not very practical. I would recommend a tool like ffmpeg.
