So I've tried lots of janky shit to get these subtitles to display, but I just can't get them to work. They work in VLC, and in Win 10's Movies & TV app, but they refuse to work in MPC. However, differently encoded files subs work just fine. So it should be a codec issue, right?
Here's the first episode, the subs start at the opening theme if that's relevant, https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0PHLLwo5B-1Ym1Bd3NzaGNhSUU
Any tips or input is greatly appreciated. Cause I'm close to dousing myself in gasoline and lighting a match lol

The subtitles are not in the "standard" ASS format. vsfilter family does not like them. Either you fix the subtitle tracks or you use a different subtitle renderer, namely AssFilterMod (like VLC it is based on libass instead of vsfilter).
