Need help for downloading from BBC Sports

I'm trying to download a video from BBC : http://www.bbc.com/sport/athletics/40468369
I'm not in UK so I used VPN Gate and the video played fine(maybe not in best quality? due to low speed of VPN) in my firefox browser.
Then I used Youtube-dl(latest, 2017.07.09), but it's not working for me. It says it can't extract playlist data.

I also tried with Video Download Helper and HDS Detector add-ons in firefox but they didn't worked. They didn't even recognize the video.
Actually, Video Download Helper detected a video, but it's pretty short(about 5 second) and just blank.

How can I download the video? Is there any other option, or do I just have to wait until the developer of the Youtube-dl to fix it?

HLS detector plugin and get_iplayer found nothing on this url. And also, I don't want to pay for it.
Anyway, I give up. The video quality seems to be not good as I expected.
